There is no reason My knees should shake So intensely Like branches Caught In an October wind. Then again, I cannot explain Heat from my cheeks Ignited by An innocent blush. Perhaps One more kiss Can provide enough Of an answer To stop my heart From Pounding Through My Bones.

A secret Lost amongst bees Buzzing from flower to flower Causes my heels to turn And my direction to change Under flickering beams And canopies of branches. I was whole here, Alive. Knew that truth rotted Like a birch split By a black sky's angry glare. Yet I wandered Explored until my heart burst My head sprouted sweat beads And my feet ached Like uprooted saplings, To find a hope Under chips of dead bark. In my grasp, The sun. Warm. Happy. I stood, hearing buzzing of bees Returning from battle, Whispering back A secret I had lost. I have yet to post about my Father-in-law, Roger Fluet and his debut album. His creative instrumentation and voice will have you tapping your feet in no time! Seriously, he has true talent as a songwriter, and even hosts his own songwriting classes here in Massachusetts.
Roger's style is a wonderful blend of blues, country, and folk. Just like your favorite coffee, it is smooth and will have you craving more. And if I were to continue this metaphor, his backup vocalist Lee Villaire adds a dash of sugar to enhance your flavorful listening experience. You can find samples of his songs on his website, spotify, Itunes, and CD Baby. Of course I can NOT review an artist and leave you all without a video. I will be going for my masters in English soon, so hopefully I can finish "Vivian 2" by then. Thank you and I will keep everyone posted on updates. |
